I'm not sure what the current status of all this is at the moment, I've not got time to work on it right now. As an aside, currently gcc 4.3 does not build for iWMMXt, it hits an ICE while compiling libgcc with the stage1 compiler, so I can't test that for my target anyway (if it isn't fixed in the next snapshot I'll post a new bug report for it). -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=31325
