Daniel,
This bug is fixed in more recent gfortrans. You will have a much easier life
if you upgrade; expecially to 4.2, for which binaries are available from the
gfortran wiki. If you have any difficulties with the installation, please send
a request for help to the gfortran list.
As I said to the list, we will be very grateful if you would submit any
problems that you might have in the future.
