HJ, I might be slow but I get there... what has been plaguing me all week is doing the development under Cygwin. I just realised that NONE of the failing cases that you have presented this week fail on Cygwin. It is only when I return to the ranch that I can reproduce what you are seeing; this goes for the business the other night - the portbale is running Cygwin because the b***y wireless card will not run with Linux/ndiswrapper, no matter what I do. Anyway, I agree that your latest shows that there is still a problem and will revert still further.
