Relative to gcc version 4.0.4 20060507 (prerelease) (Debian 4.0.3-3), gcc version 4.1.1 20060511 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.0-4) and also my own build of 4.2 exhibit a large increase in compile on the attached file. On my c3k, the time goes from ~ 5 seconds to 49 minutes.
