If I configure without "--enable-bootstrap" I get this error quite early on
during the build:
config.status: creating libada-mk
config.status: creating auto-host.h
config.status: executing default commands
Bootstrapping the compiler
gmake[1]: Entering directory `/tmp/gcc-4.1.0/gcc'
gmake[1]: *** No rule to make target `bootstrap'. Stop.
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/gcc-4.1.0/gcc'
gmake: *** [bootstrap] Error 2
