Hi, The wiki page for gfortran contains poorly defined instructions for reporting bugs (See below). I have no idea if I need to subscribe before I can send a bug report. I cannot find a gfortran mailing list so I am sending it to gcc-bugs.
http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/GFortranBinariesWindows "Please report any bugs to the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing-list." I would like to report a real bug when trying to run gfortran on an Athlon processor (See end of this email). C:\Apps\gfortran>gfortran testcon.for <built-in>:0: internal compiler error: Illegal instruction Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate. See <URL:http://gcc.gnu.org/bugs.html> for instructions. C:\Apps\gfortran>gcc -v Using built-in specs. Target: i686-pc-mingw32 Configured with: ../gcc/configure --prefix=/mingw --enable-languages=c,fortran --with-gmp=/home/coud ert/local --disable-nls --with-ld=/mingw/bin/ld --with-as=/mingw/bin/as --disable-werror --enable-bo otstrap Thread model: win32 gcc version 4.2.0 20060120 (experimental) I got the gfortran as a windows binary package from http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/GFortranBinariesWindows. I downloaded it yesterday (28 Feb NZDT). I have successfully installed and run it on a Pentium system. The internal error message came when I installed and tried to run it on an AMD Athlon 2800MP (2133Mhz 133x16) dual CPU system running Windows 2003 Server. It seems to be processor target problem. Is there a special binary required for Athlon processors? -- Nick Holford, Dept Pharmacology & Clinical Pharmacology University of Auckland, 85 Park Rd, Private Bag 92019, Auckland, New Zealand email:[EMAIL PROTECTED] tel:+64(9)373-7599x86730 fax:373-7556 http://www.health.auckland.ac.nz/pharmacology/staff/nholford/ -- Nick Holford, Dept Pharmacology & Clinical Pharmacology University of Auckland, 85 Park Rd, Private Bag 92019, Auckland, New Zealand email:[EMAIL PROTECTED] tel:+64(9)373-7599x86730 fax:373-7556 http://www.health.auckland.ac.nz/pharmacology/staff/nholford/
