------- Comment #3 from n dot holford at auckland dot ac dot nz 2006-03-01 00:01 ------- Subject: Re: gfortran: <built-in>:0: internal compiler error: Illegal instruction
I got the gfortran as a windows binary package from http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/GFortranBinariesWindows. I downloaded it yesterday (28 Feb NZDT). I have successfully installed and run it on a Pentium system. The internal error message came when I installed and tried to run it on an AMD Athlon 2800MP (2133Mhz 133x16) dual CPU system running Windows 2003 Server. Sorry this info was not in the bug report but I found the bug report system very murky to use. There was no indication whether I was going to be asked at some point for this kind of info. It could be made a lot clearer if it said which comment field this kind of info should be reported in. The only clue was something about a 'system triplet' (or something like that). I have no idea what this was supposed to contain.
