I am trying to compile programs on Slackware 10.2. For example when I try compiling slmodemd-2.9.10 this appears on the screen. In file included from /lib/modules/2.4.31/build/include/linux/fs.h:730, from /lib/modules/2.4.31/build/include/linux/capability.h:17, from /lib/modules/2.4.31/build/include/linux/binfmts.h:5, from /lib/modules/2.4.31/build/include/linux/sched.h:9, from /lib/modules/2.4.31/build/include/linux/vmalloc.h:4, from IPSecDrvOS_linux.c:16: /lib/modules/2.4.31/build/include/linux/reiserfs_fs_sb.h:168: internal compiler error: Bus error. The only thing I have changed lately is that I started with bare.i for a kernel off of the Slackware 10.2 disc but moved to bareacpi.i by just moving it to the /boot directory and renaming it vmlinuz. Then I moved the System.map and Config file. I have reinstalled gcc-3.3.6 and gcc-g++ off of the Slackware 10.2 discs but that hasn't helped.
