Hi. The first issue is in fact ISO DR 280, which we tracked as libstdc++/11729
and, now that its official status is [Ready], has been fixed for gcc4.1.
The second issue is not a bug, is simply the way reverse iterators work:
quoting
the ISO/IEC standard (24.4.1):
"The fundamental relation between a reverse iterator and its corresponding
iterator i is established by the identity: &*(reverse_iterator(i)) == &*(i-1)."
