Meanwhile, i compiled the simd tests with gcc 4.0.1. It compiles them
correctly, i. e. the tests run successfully. It, again, uses the
movaps instruction, as does gcc 3.3.6 and unlike 3.4.4.
Since all these tests were performed under an otherwise unaltered
environment, this looks like a strong indication for a bug in the
3.4.4 P3 code generator. It is well possible, that this bug is not
present in 3.4.0. (Which instructions exactly are generated there,
BTW?)
