That failing, perhaps the install documentation at http://gcc.gnu.org/install/specific.html#x86-64-x-x can be updated - warning installers about the need for --disable-multilibs when there's no lib32 support (I went looking there first). -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=14839
