I checked and there's nothing in the installation instructions about it. Perhaps a note could be added to the effect that some (or all?) sparc64-unknown-linux-gnu users will need to specify the target, host, and build systems themselves? -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=21162
