I read it, but adding -many is not the solution for that. They only need to fix the -mAltivec part, not -many. The worst case scenario is to add -many to all of the targets that require it, but not for targets which are very specific such as some embedded ppc like 403 or 405 -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=21091
