Patch is comitted to 4.1 mainline. For the testcase in description '-O2
-march=prescott' now generates:

        movl    %esp, %ebp
        subl    $8, %esp
        fldl    8(%ebp)
        fisttpll        -8(%ebp)
        movl    -8(%ebp), %eax
        leave
        ret
