Comment #3 by zxMarce: Alex, That friggin' did it. Now the event works as expected. So, WAIT inside a non-event handler loop instead of SLEEP. As per the docs SLEEP should be used inside event handlers to avoid stack overruns, but I needed to process the event loop. Some confusion...
