On the other side, there were as many new features which potentially introduced new bugs. In any case, if you indeed found a bug here, wouldn't it be good to run a version which developers still care about to fix the bug? ;-) As for "trust": you can't and shouldn't, as the GPL says: This program is distributed [...] WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
