I think your essay proves that much has changed. For the first time in the
history of humanity science has revealed the laws of cosmic evolution. And
the fact that they are as applicable to social evolution as they are to
physical and biological evolution. Knowledge is creating the shift from
The Dominator Paradigm (as Eisler calls it) to the Gaian Paradigm (as Capra
calls it). This deep fundamental cultural transformation is well
exemplified by your good works.

Your analysis tells it well. But, there is a crucial missing element of
the alternative and transformational movement(s) that you too miss. That
is the fact that as long as future citizens are put in authoritarian,
patriarchal, hierarchical schools to learn how to compete, and rise above
one another, and to dominate nature, we can expect that kind of a society
to continue to exist. Fortunately there is a more humanitarian learning
system spontaniosly self-organizing leaderless, and unplanned, unnoticed
not only be the mainstream but by the A&T movement(s) as well.

On a listserv, ([EMAIL PROTECTED]> a collective of homeschoolers,
autodidacts, and futurists is trying to envision a deschooled world and
reveal how well it is working. One of its efforts is to write a book
on-line, and to bridge the gap between the world of learning and they
movements you so well describe. We'd welcome any comments on the place and
mode of learning in the world you envision.
