Dear Michael, Could you please consider that your material on EU and unemployment is uncritical and one-sided. The Amsterdam-Treaty will not solve the social problems of Europe. According to many economists it will instead lead to increasing social problems when the states must cut their budgets to follow the Criteria of Convergence in the EMU. When talking about unemployment, you must consider the development in germany with rising social problems and racism. In Europe there is a growing unrest about the undemocratic character of the Union, if you want more information then follow the referendum in Denmark the 28.May about the Amsterdam Treaty. Best wishes for your work John Graversgaard ---------- > Fra: Michael Gurstein <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Til: futurework <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Emne: National Action Plans/Plans nationaux pour l'empl (fwd) > Dato: 13. maj 1998 14:33 > > > ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > Date: Wed, 13 May 1998 08:17:05 +0100 GMT > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: National Action Plans/Plans nationaux pour l'empl > > National Employment Action Plans are available > > Following the procedure agreed upon at the Luxembourg > Summit on Employment, Member States have now presented > their National Employment Action Plans, in which they adapt > and concretise the EU guidelines.
