Rejoinder: Equating capitalism with monopoly is like mixing up Bill Gates
with Microsoft.

Clearly, antimonopoly is not very fashionable right now in the world of
economic theory, because monopoly capital is still the dominant form of
industrial organization. Capitalism and monopoly are not completely
antithetical and are often seen as quite complimentary by liberal,
conservative and right-wing economist (cf. Schumpeter, Galbraith and the
"new growth economics"), and both continue to reorganize our global economic
geographies.

Cheers,
John
