I'm usually just a 'lurker' on the list, but the question of the
exact definition of the beginning/end of the millenium has aroused me
from my lethargy.
For those who really care, 2000 AD in 'our' calculation is actually
13-- (?) on the Mohamedan calendar, and 47-- (?) on the Jewish calendar

and on Mars, had anyone been around to start counting at the exact same
instant we did, it would be about 985.
Now, doesn't it feel good to know exactly?
