by Parveez Syed, Shanti RTV news

LONDON-UK (SC/SRTV) - Shanti Communications news agency is now
finalising its plans to broadcast, "Global Eye", a series of live
radio programmes on a number of radio stations in December 1998
and December 1999. "Global Eye" programme contents would include
interviews and phone-ins analysing political and legal issues;
secret organisations; human rights; IMF impacts; new world
order; terrorism and warfare; free market bandits; injustices;
racism; double standards; globalisation; global bullies and
genocidal sanctions etc.

Shanti is now finalising a shortlist of potential participants
who would be invited to take part in the "Global Eye" programmes
by phone-ins; in-studio interviews or by providing pre-recorded
audio/visual, and printed material (which must reach Shanti UK
before Friday 30 October 1998). Would you like to take part?
Would you like to help with funding or sponoring programme
research and production costs? Would you like to advertise your

Shanti's media development fund
by Parveez Syed, Shanti RTV news

For the past few years Shanti Communications (SC) has been
empowering people with information and knowledge to help uncover
and expose lies; injustices; pretexts; tricks; games and ploys,
and to help transcend the negative stereotypes.

Shanti's smart team of informants, whistleblowers, intelligence
sources, researchers and investigative journalists have a
collective background which spans over 100 countries and five
continents. SC's news service is not just about covert agendas
behind the news. It is about communication without borders and
without filters. It is about the debunking of myths and
stereotypes, the elimination of xenophobia and nationalist
bigotry. And you, our audience, scattered as you are across the
globe, are the most essential part of efforts behind news
monitoring and gathering processes.

Throughout its ten years of existence, SC has operated outside
corporate media cartels and has thus been at the mercy of the
draconian attitude toward independent media operations. Because
of this we have never owned our own broadcast facilities, and
have existed precariously using the Internet which is subject to
shut-downs, exclusions, censorships and bans at whim.

Shanti Communications is now seeking your help in a global
fundraising campaign. The funding would help SC plan, setup and
sustain audio-visual, multimedia and broadcast facilities. This in
turn would help spread alternative news to more people and break
down barriers; bypass filters, buffers and borders. If you're
able to help us, please send your contribution to:
