I admit i only browsed the article
superficially; two question:

1. Which part of the population had 
   the party that lead to the hangover?
   Wasn't the bottom half - however, they are the ones
   who forever have to "tighten their belts".
   I know from my experience, that the
   last alleged boom here in the UK went
   unnoticed by most of the population
   and involved the collapse of social
   services such as health, transport, education,
   pensions etc. 

2. What's wrong with the Marxist analysis of 
   the boom-slump cycles?
