Bonjour,

Voici le retour officiel de Starlink que j'ai vu passer, et qui va légèrement
plus loin que l'article de Clubic. À noter que ce post-mortem est daté du 26
juillet :

On Wednesday, July 24, 2025, at approximately 12:13 PM PDT (19:13 UTC), the
Starlink network experienced a global outage. Most customers were back online
within 2.5 hours, and full service was restored later that afternoon.

The issue occurred during an upgrade procedure, which involved software
deployments across our ground-based compute clusters. A rare combination of
factors during this upgrade led to a disruption in one of our core network
systems, leading to overload of other compute nodes as traffic was distributed
across the clusters, ultimately leading to a cascade of failures and temporary
loss of connectivity across the network.

The Starlink team immediately initiated a series of emergency actions to
restore service. By approximately 3:00pm PDT, most users were back online, and
work continued into the afternoon to fully stabilize the network.

We are taking immediate steps to strengthen our system, improve monitoring and
alerting, and increase redundancy to help prevent this kind of issue in the
future.

We apologize for the disruption. Maintaining reliable service is our top
priority, and we appreciate your continued trust in Starlink to keep you
connected.
