Thanks for the reply. I concluded also that it is more an mplayer problem
than a freevo problem.
But I am a bit hesitating to compile mplayer myself; I shall give it a try.
It looks if Ubuntu (juanty) is still using the rc2 source tree. Upgrading
my distribution will not help in that case.
