Freevo works on Unix principle - it is a wrapper around other parts more than
a blockbuster device
so some of what you want will need our plugin system

for answers here are you planning to feed the tv picture to a television or to
a standard monitor - this makes a difference with your choice of video card
look for something that will run very quietly. you want power but as few fans
as possible
My PVR-350 has overheating problems and I wouldn't recommend purchasing one,
but as it only does analog tv you wouldn't really be considering one these
days.
