Thank you for testing, Werner! I am fairly sure that the 16-bit mode
(rgb565) works too, and the Windows port is functional. I am worried
about proprietary X implementations, if there are any left.

What do you think about a GSoC project to implement native Quartz and
Wayland ports, considering the current landscape? This is somewhat
contrary to the ftinspect goals, but I think that our test tools
should stay rather low level.
