Hey Olaf, Well, it seems that sensor 0 needs to be bridged. That's why you get an output of N/A when you don't specify --bridge-sensors.
When you do specify --bridge-sensors, the bridging is being attempted, however the remote machine appears to just not want to respond. Thus the eventual timeout and IPMI error (yeah, not the best error message. I should work on that). Could you try doing IPMI in-band on the machine instead of over LAN to see if we get a different result? I remember seeing a machine were bridged messages over LAN didn't work but it did work inband. It was a bug on the system.
