Sorry, I haven't written any documentation that is more detailed at this
point.  I'll put on my todo to write a doc that maybe gives a more
gentle introduction/few examples into a few of the APIs.

Feel free to shoot any questions at me on the list.  Assuming you're
looking at some monitoring software w/ sensors, I'll point you to the
libipmimonitoring library.   It abstracts a ton of the underlying IPMI
details into a relatively-abstract iterator-like interface.  Best
documentation is the header files + the ipmimonitoring.c tool as an
example.
