Just a small point, you might want to put the screenshots of the new UI into the README.md. End users (such as myself) are probably first going to ask "What does the new UI look like" before they ask "How do I build/test it?" Perhaps, moving the announcement into the README, and move the current README.md to INSTALL.md?
