Users helping other users more is a *good* thing as it indicates that
there is a strong community. They bring a different perspective than
developers and I often learn things myself.

I'm not sure what you mean by lack of engagement from the developers.

It's currently summer in the northern hemisphere and things tend to slow
down quite a bit. Developers get time off too.
