For whom?

Are you saying that the only use for FreeDOS is to play old games? I
don't agree.

Secondly, I was already working in the PC business when Windows 3.0
came out. I deployed and supported it in production.

I do not think that there were all that many Windows 3.x games. 16-bit
Windows was not a gaming platform. For 32-bit, Windows NT wasn't
either, but Win95 started to be and Win98 became a serious one, mainly
thanks to DirectX.
