It’s doubtful those can be taken directly as-is. The probably require files
being moved into different dirs to conform with other standard packages,
require meta-data and possibly some updated config files so they work when
installed.
And what about all the other DGJPP packages?
Like Rhide, Flex, Bison and etc? Will the old ones still work or do they need
updated as well? Or are older versions of those fine?

https://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/repositories/latest/pkg-html/group-devel.html

Aren’t there nearly 100 DGJPP packages? Any others needed or should be added?

Like I said, I don’t use DGJPP and am not very familiar with it. Someone who
actually uses it should work on making the updated packages.
