Well, basically the initial development of FDI is done now.
(I say it is done, because it does what Jim asked for it to do.)

Obviously, it will now need testing and fine tuning.

It currently installs packages from the FreeDOS 1.1 CD.
This will also probably need some tweaking for the 1.2 release.

The current base and all package lists exclude the JEMMEX. I don’t
have an issue with this package. It is just excluded because the
unzipping it generates a bunch of “file attribute” warnings that cannot
be suppressed.

The source package lists are currently empty. Because, the packages
on the FD1.1 CD include one package for both. If that is the desired
method, then some minor package installation tweaks will be required
in the FDIPKG.BAT package installer. This will also be the case
if a package manager is to be used.

Localization is not currently supported. If localization is going to be
added later, it will either be implemented be an additional vlocal tool
or restructuring with hard coded language prompts.

Advanced mode, installation target selection is waiting on the vask utility.

Advanced mode, detailed package selection is waiting on the vchkbox utility.

I do NOT have the time or desire to assemble all of the latest packages
and create the installation discs. Who will be doing that?
