Good to know (and thanks to KJD). :-)

I don't even see the fix in SVN trunk, so he'll have to commit it
there first, eventually.

I don't think FD 1.0 or 1.1 will be "updated". I think they're frozen.
Further full releases will probably be very slow as volunteers are few
and far in between. (The FD 1.1 release was mostly Bernd's efforts!)
So no, you probably won't wait for a "full distro" release just to
update the kernel. (FD 1.0 used 2036 + 2037 while FD 1.1 used 2040. As
you can see, there were two releases in between and one since.)

As long as its updated in SVN, anybody can grab a snapshot of the sources.

If it's an official kernel release, it's usually put in a .ZIP on
SourceForge and also mirrored to iBiblio.

Could be years! :-) No, seriously, I don't know. Maybe that
means I shouldn't be answering here, but my whole point is that
"anybody" can grab SVN snapshots at will (and/or mirror), if direly
needed. As long as the sources and binaries match, they can be
redistributed freely.
