Right, and CP/M software (usually) doesn't run on DOS without some minor changes (right??). Though perhaps one of the emulators could fill that niche. > SIMTEL is the library you are looking for. simtel has an msdos section. > http://www.lanet.lv/simtel.net/msdos/ > there are multiple mirrors. just google simtel msdos. Yes, we're all familiar with Simtel. I think even they also started as CP/M mirror, but MS-DOS eclipsed it eventually. The problem is that Simtel long ago shifted focus away from DOS. Also, their "new" owners made a mess of their site, it's way too flashy, slow, bloated, and hard to use (IMHO). Also, they have (or used to) a silly policy about not letting anyone but a copyright holder upload a newer version, so a lot of their stuff is outdated, sadly. That's one of my big pet peeves, when old software is easier to find than latest. (sigh) But yes, Simtel still has quite a few good DOS gems there. Unfortunately, I don't know of a better (active) archive site for DOS. It's very sad that software is thrown away and ignored so much. Web pages just come and go too quickly, and often the original authors don't have a copy anymore. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Keep Your Developer Skills Current with LearnDevNow!
