Hi, one of the organizers of the Southern California Linux Expo (SCALE) contacted me this afternoon.
He's the chair of a panel on OS'es at SCALE <http://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale10x>. They currently have Illumos, Linux, BSD and (possibly) Haiku, and asked if I would be interested in representing FreeDOS on the panel. I know this is late notice, but the FreeDOS 1.1 release got a lot of attention, including a news item on Slashdot. The panel will be on the 21st of January, 6:00pm, at the Hilton LAX. That's a really tough week for me, so I don't think I'd be able to attend. Is anyone else here interested in representing FreeDOS on the panel? Or perhaps is someone here ALREADY PLANNING TO ATTEND, and willing to participate on the panel? It's a big opportunity, and I hate to miss the con. But I'm (finally) starting my Master's program that week, and it would be pretty hard to take some time off right after classes started. I'd appreciate any help from interested folks. -jh ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ridiculously easy VDI.
