Dropping a problem on a list that is only of marginal interest to the list and then expecting the list members to do the debug work for you is kind of poor behavior. I thought that sending him to comp.lang.c was a way to get him exiled to never-never land ... apparently you were serious. The problem with this particular user and project (which I will not mention by name) is that he has been trolling the Usenet groups looking for help with this particular project. If you read the message threads he has a concept for what he wants, but not much of a way to do it himself. And his methods of trying to solicit interest and help are making people irritated. Check out recent postings in comp.os.msdos.programmer if you need the context. Sending him to the Watcom usenet groups won't go over well. They are not terribly active and their patience will wear thin even quicker. Some references to 'How to program in C for beginners' would be far more appropriate.
