new round of motherboards out, this time with UEFI instead of BIOS.  this (I 
think) means an obvious industry shift over to GPT partitioning scheme.

My understanding is that old BIOS functions will still work, but I could be 
wrong, it's been a while since I checked the spec, and I am sure it's been 
updated since then.  I wouldn't think they would totally drop BIOS 
functionality.
