I have tried replacing the older ISOLinux in the ripcord with the newest
ISOLinux on my Dell 4600 (XP Pro) and it seems to boot great. I was having
problems with boot priority before when Reactos was installed on a hard disk
and trying to boot a ripcord-created cd.
I suggest someone change the FDOEMCD ripcord cd ISO building kit accordingly.
by the way - I looked at the documentation, and memdisk requires a 1.44MB disk
image, not a 360KB disk image, though a 360k disk image will boot. this applies
to BTDSK.IMG. you will not need to change the .cfg file.
but you will need to copy new binaries into the FDOEMCD\CDROOT\isolinux
directory.

Subject: [Freedos-devel] OEM CD ripcord image
the FDOEMCD ISO ripcord kit at http://www.fdos.org/bootdisks/
has a problem. when I boot the cd and there exists a hard disk with a bootable
OS, I get a black screen with a blinking cursor at the top after I press return
at the isolinux boot: prompt.
perhaps there is a later version of isolinux?
I don't know what will solve this problem. I hear the hard disk being accessed
several times during that process before it hangs.
also, I thought there was a newer beta image building kit (beta 9?) or
something that I could make an OEM cd with, but I can't seem to find it on the
internet. help. maybe *that* build will fix my problems.
