TRCH translates characters - similar to UNIX 'tr'. This used to be UNIX2DOS, but eventually I realized that translating characters can do more for you, so TRCH was born. Yes, TRCH can still translate UNIX linefeeds to DOS CR/LF pairs
As announced here, I recently made a bunch of updates to TRCH, now at version 3.1f. Alexis Malozemoff recently volunteered to be the new maintainer for TRCH, and since I think I've taken the program about as far as I'm going to, I have agreed that Alexis is the new maintainer. Maintainer info has been updated in the Software List (http://www.freedos.org/freedos/software/) I don't think there is a new web site for it yet, but I'll let Alexis announce that, if there is.
