Yes I didn`t express myself very well it was wrong to say FileSystem it is
Directory Structure.
The reason I did consider this Directory Structure better is because I think
the purpose of FreeDOS is to develop in time not to remain in this way.
I refer also to graphic server and others thing.
That`s the fact in this case. The UNIX/Linux is not very friendly when it
comes about searching files or try to develop. Linux the bigger it is, the
harder it is to configure a program and to be develop. Here windows stay
better because you can copy paste a program (including it`s subdirectories
and files) and put it wherever and run it.

you will understand better the structure. Another suggestion about FreeDOS
is that if it can be configured in order that drivers for windows to work in
it (something like .inf ) i think that it will be faster to develop and to
support wireless and others drivers that couldn`t be supported before.
Yes the structure is an cocktail between Windows and UNIX/Linux.
Here it is again with some directories added.
/commands
/config/boot
          /cam
          /floppy
          /hdd
          /kernel
          /keyboard
          /monitor
          /mouse
          /NIC (network interface card)
          /printer
          /processor
          /ram
          /scanner
          /sound
          /tape
          /usb
          /video
          /WIC (wireless interface card)
          .
          .
          .
/programs/Admin
              /group/user
/GUI
/mount
/network
/PersFils/Admin/Archives
                       /Documents
                       /Downloads
                       /Images
                       /Music
                       /Pictures
                       /src
                       /Video
               /group/user/Archives
                                .
                                .
                                .
/temp
/servers
/swap

And yes is true you have understand very good my idea both of you.
Ps. The Commands directory is similar with bin (executables for everybody)
in UNIX/Linux.

if you can so you will see better the structure.
Best wishes and all the good in the world,
