Hi Oleg, > What do you propose? Do not install sources at all?
I propose to have screens where the user can toggle checkboxes for each source package, but have none of them set to "yes" by default. Actually it would be nice if TEXTINST had a button for "set all to yes" and "set all to no" in the general user inter- face, to set all packages of one screenfull of the list. > > and then think "hey minimal is probably only kernel and commandcom" > Solution -- _make_ such option (only kernel and command.com) ;-) People should download a minimal bootdisk, not 10 MB ISO then... > >> <offtopic> Can I include proprietary drivers... > >> in *GPLed* FreeDOS distribution? ... > I ask about _my_own_ distribution, not about official FreeDOS distro. The distro is never GPLed. Only the components are. Not all components of FreeDOS are GPL, some have other open source licenses. Some are even closed source (like ArrowASM) but if you include too proprietary software, you may have to tell your users that your distro is no longer suitable for commercial use. When you include proprietary drivers which may only be used for noncommercial things, I mean.
