Actually, this is intentional. A while back, I had removed from ibiblio the distributions before 1.0, because I was getting a lot of off-list emails from people who had just downloaded one of the old distros, and wanted to know (a) why things were so broken, and (b) why everything looked so out of date. This despite the 1.0 distro having been out for a long time, and when I pointed them to 1.0 everything worked fine.
This dir used to be called official.old. But now I'm having conversations with the ibiblio admins to put the "pre-1.0" distros in a permanent "old distro" archive. They already have something similar for old Linux distros, I think. So last week, I put our old distros back on ibiblio into "pre-1.0" in preparation to move them to the "old distro" archive. But I didn't want to run into the same support problem of people downloading our old distros, so I made the "pre-1.0" directories unreadable. Please ignore these "permission denied" errors for "pre-1.0". -jh On 12/14/07, Olivier Thauvin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I am currently getting permission denied when I try to rsync the tree: > > rsync: opendir "/files/distributions/pre-1.0/0.2.BETA" (in freedos) failed: > Permission denied (13) > rsync: opendir "/files/distributions/pre-1.0/0.3.BETA" (in freedos) failed: > Permission denied (13) > rsync: opendir "/files/distributions/pre-1.0/0.9sr2.BETA" (in freedos) failed: > Permission denied (13) > rsync: opendir "/files/distributions/pre-1.0/ripcord" (in freedos) failed: > Permission denied (13) > rsync: opendir "/files/distributions/pre-1.0/0.8.BETA" (in freedos) failed: > Permission denied (13) > rsync: opendir "/files/distributions/pre-1.0/0.9sr1.BETA" (in freedos) failed: > Permission denied (13) > rsync: opendir "/files/distributions/pre-1.0/0.9rc4.BETA" (in freedos) failed: > Permission denied (13) > > The log is availlable here: > > http://distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr/mmm#freedos > > Thanks by advance. > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
