I faced the same problem a short while ago (you may remember my test mails). I turned out that it is a problem with the mail server that received the mails from the mailing list for me. I had to switch to a different mail account and now everything is fine. I'll see if I still have all the details at hand, just a sec... [some minutes later] ah, found it. Here is what our mail server admin told me (after an exhausting mail discussion that my email client *had* to be broken *g*): ------- Now I found something. Sendmail delivers the emails to procmail to sort them into the appropriate mailboxes. And procmail complains when receiving base64 encoded message bodies that are not declared as message-mime-parts. Sendmail on its behalf converts such only if the subject field contains base64 without a proper ISO type... I don't know how to remedy this behaviour... -------- After this explanation, I chose to switch the email account rather than making my boss switch servers :D Maybe this sheds some light on the problems that others here seem to have these days...
