As far as I know, the VVFAT driver is in an alpha state and I never had
it up running with write access. Once I did some alpha testing where I
got the assertion failed too.
I set up the M$-Client for DOS to access the files on the host machine
(WinXP).

On Windows, I set the video driver to "windib". "directx" is faster, but
has problems with the keyboard. On my system, the cursor keys are
doubled. With "windib" it's ok.
