So that:

properly becomes:

After modifying the source to remove the first warning...

In other words, warnings are quite a different animal than errors. Many
are benign, some are even friendly and make good pets once the scent glands
are removed.

For what it's worth, it seems that I am using TCPP 1.01, not TC 2.01,
verified by getting off my butt and checking the compiler version (okay, I
didn't get actually off my butt, but I did roll my chair to the other
computer). If I were ever seen to have typed "2.01" in another e-mail, it
is because a passing Sith Lord (see previous cite re: "dark
forces") warped net reality and Forced in a new value for the victimized
TCP/IP packet. But in this reality, the compiler delta probably makes a
(minor) difference during source compilation and could result in differing
warning levels and feedbacks. Your experience would be exhibit "A".

Regardless, you must roll your own MAKEFILE changes. The distribution
MAKEFILE matches what Tom Ehlert used during his last release compiles
prior to my direct distribution of EMM386/HIMEM source+bins, and my version
MAKEFILE is quite different -- not to mention specifically tailored to my
own machine, including using TCPP 1.01 rather than TC 2.01. If it helps,
think of modifying the MAKEFILE for your environment as a small trial and
aptitude test prior to changing to the significantly more complex source
code associated with it.
