I have a suggestion. I am answering here so that we can talk it over :)

you ca read the screen starting frm the cursor, back to the begining of the line and see if it is a valid prompt.

does anyone agree with that?

I need to write a TSR program that can auto-execute a program from time to time, but only when the user isn't doing anything. To do this I will place the keystrokes to type in the program name into the DOS keyboard buffer.

Could someone tell me:
a) if I can tell if I am on the command line (No application is running) and
 b) if the command line is empty (nothing typed)?

Regards,
Andreas
