Any idea about what goes wrong with these systems ... I was supprised
that software could kill silicon?

FWIW, I've had it happen with Win95 OSR 2.1 image built on a Intel 430HX
chipset and then moved to a 430FX chipset system.

I'm mostly curious what actually happens.
