I built a Freedos boot floppy from the: 30 May 2004 kernel 2035 link near the top of freedos.org.

There is not much except the kernel command.com config.sys and autoexec.bat on the floppy disk.
There are no long explinations necessary.
None of the commands in config.sys are executed. I think probably the file is not even called.
I edited the config.sys, put an echo statement at the top and bottom. No echo's showed up from config.sys when booting. So config.sys is not executed.
The echo statement in autoexec.bat shows up fine.
What needs to be done? Can you help please or redirect me?

Ok, so the kernel boots, and at least loads command.com properly (which
in turn runs autoexec.bat).
Thanks, Jeremy
----------------------------------------------------------------- I will be glad to be the tester for this problem and for anything else as well.
