Hi, here are the instructions for make FreeDOS and Linux Dualboot in a floppy.

Nice guide. This is exactly also what I'm doing, but without Linux.
Diskettes are slow, so on a special bootdisk I offer the "FreeDOS from diskette" option,
and a "load FreeDOS imagefile into RAM and then act as FreeDOS is running from a ramdisk".

Ofcourse the MEMDISK is a bit faster. compressing the disk image helps reduce loading time,
but increases memory requirements (4MB).
If Linux boots, then a FreeDOS created like you do will surely boot.

It's also possible without compression. Just create a bootsectorfile (SYS A: A: A:\FREEDOS.BSS /BOOTONLY),
and add it to SYSLINUX.CFG
